Wind Capital mainly considers companies in the internet and technology industry at large. We also invest in environmental industries and luxury goods/services. We provide the necessary early-stage funding as well as network and experiences to back ambitious entrepreneurs to help them to reach the next steps of their journey.
With a “Low Volume – High Touch” strategy, Wind Capital and its team have already seeded more than 40 start-ups across 3 continents: Europe, North America and Asia.
In addition to financing, many start-ups or SME have benefitted from our hands-on experience of managing high-growth innovative companies operating in a changing environment.
At a later stage of development, we help start-ups and SME to define their consolidation or exit strategy, by connecting buy-side and sell-side partners through our network of VCs and industrials based in US, Europe and Asia.
Thierry and Xavier have been funding start-up for more than 10 years.
Serial entrepreneurs, experts in new technologies and international businesses, they both have successfully launched and sold several companies across the world. These include Wcube, which was ranked Digital Agency of the Year in France. Wcube was sold to Publicis Groupe and still stand as one of the major acquisitions in the digital world for this worldwide leader group in Digital communication and advertising.
Thierry is a qualified engineer and is graduated from the
Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France
(HEC – Master Entrepreneur).
He has lived and worked in Washington DC, Singapore, Shanghai,
San Francisco and currently resides in Brussels with his wife
and 3 sons.
He loves sailing in Brittany and competing in triathlon races.
Xavier is graduated with honors from The Ecole Superieure d’Informatique, Electronique, et Automatique of Paris (ESIEA). He has a Master 2 degree in Computer Science.
He launched his first company at 19 years old, in Paris.
After a first investment period in Europe, he worked in South East Asia and grew his portfolio for 4 years in the Asian market. Based in Singapore for 4 years, he also worked as Business Developer for a Video Game company (Take2) dealing with players like Tencent (China) or DeNA (Japan).
He then settled down in San Francisco to open the North America branch of Wind Capital and as a Venture Partner for the CVC, Via ID.
Xavier has since come back to Paris to enjoy time with his friends and family but he keeps strong bonds with his network of friends, all over the world.
